NCELL private limited has signed an MOU with PABSON as well as N-PABSON and HISSAN to provide cheap data rates for the virtual online classes among the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in Nepal. NCELL launched a new data plan to provide the data at very low rates for online teaching and learning as the schools are closed over a long time due to the ongoing pandemic.

NCELL has expanded the 4G network in most of the parts over the country. The government of Nepal has directed educational institutions to start the teaching activities through various platforms like internet, television and radio. As the NCELL network is expanded all over the country, it is expected that the online learning through digital platforms will enhance the learning activities of students.

As per the MOU signed by NCELL with the private boarding organization PABSON and N-PABSON, as well as HISSAN to ensure the easy access of the internet connectivity for online distant learning in Nepal. Ncell under this MoU, is providing a special monthly offer to deliver required services at a subsidized rate. The offer is bundled with SIM, voice, data, and SMS service, among others.

In this Ncell’s online learning data pack special offer, students will get a SIM bundled with 20GB data for online class (via Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams), every day 120 minutes talk time for call within CUG numbers, 50 min on-net talk time, 1GB 3G/4G data, 2GB 4G data and 50 on-net SMS per month at Rs 250 excluding applicable taxes. Likewise, there is an option of monthly plan that costs Rs 350 excluding applicable taxes.

As per this MoU, students and teachers will be able to subscribe to this bundled service offer based on a recommendation letter of HISSAN, PABSON and N-PABSON to provide the offer to its member schools. The ownership of the SIM cards can be under the name of the institution or in the name of students as per their plan/choice/provision.
