Motorola Edge and Motorola edge Plus, as it’s supposedly called, looks to be a top-tier flagship that could give the best phones on the market a run for their money. Motorola is finally re-entering the flagship phone race, which it has stayed out of since the Moto Z3 was released in 2018. But that handset was still constricted by its Moto Mod compatibility, at least in size and cameras.
Motorola edege+ and Motorola edge have the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Adreno 650 GPU and rumoured to have 6.5-inch OLED curved “waterfall” display with 2340×1080 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
Motorola edge has 4GB of RAM, and 128GB storage. It can 4,500 mAh battery with 18W wired charging but no wireless charging where as Motorola edge has 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. It can 5,000 mAh battery with 18W wired charging , 15W wireless charging and 5W wireless power sharing.
In Motorola edge, the main camera is 64MP and it uses pixel binning to output at 16MP. The second camera is 16MP wide-angle and the third is 8MP telephoto.
On the front, the Edge has the 25MP camera.
In motorola edge+, the main camera is 108MP and it uses pixel binning to create 27MP images. The second camera is a 16MP wide-angle with 117-degree field-of-view and it also is capable of macro shots. The third camera is an 8MP telephoto lens. In font camera Edge+ has same 25MP camera.
Edge+ supports mmWave and Sub-6GHz where as Edge supports SUb-6GHz.They both have NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, Dual stereo speakers and 3.5mm Headphone jack.Android-10 operating system is being used in both edge and edge+.
Motorola Edge+ will be available exclusively through Verizon in the US starting May 14th. The Motorola Edge Plus price will start at $999 without a contract or $41.66 per month for 24 months. In Canada, the Edge+ will be available at Bell, Rogers, TELUS, and Freedom Mobile. The device comes in two colors: Smoky Sangria and Thunder Grey.
