Huawei P40 Pro
This flagship phone will feature a 6.58-inch AMOLED Display with a 90 Hz Refresh rate and resolution of 2640 x 1200. It also backs an in-display fingerprint sensor and a large punch-hole for a 32 MP selfie camera with F/2.2 aperture and IR Sensor.
On the back-side is Leica Ultra Vision Cameras including a 50 MP main sensor with a 40 MP auxiliary sensor, 12 MP Zoom Sensor camera, and a 3D ToF sensor. The telephoto camera supports 50x with F/1.9 aperture and an optical image stabilizer. The 12 MP camera also offers an optical image stabilizer and F/3.4 aperture. The 3D depth sensor and the macro camera allows taking the picture at a minimum distance of 2.5 meters.
A system called Octa-Core Phase Detection(Octa PD) helps to focus and the XD Fusion Engine enables the faster processing of data and image clarity.
Huawei P40 series use Kirin 990 chip manufactured with a 7 nm process with a speed of 2.86 GHz and a Mali-G76 MC-16 GPU which makes playing complex games easier. The 4200 mAh Battery is bundled with a 27 W fast wireless charging but supports up to 40W wireless charging. The device is certified to IP68 which enables water and dustproof Feature.
It is a relatively smaller model with a 6.1-inch OLED display supporting up to 2340 x 1080 pixels. Basically, both models share the same hardware with slightly different specifications. The punch hole features a 32 MP front camera with F/2.0 aperture without a 3D sensor. The back sensor lacks the image stabilizing feature. Huawei has been working with a new Nano Memory card which is not compatible with the first generation NM Cards.
The P40 model only supports a fast-charging with a maximum of 22.5 Watts with no wireless charging feature supported. It is slightly lighter due to it’s smaller 3800 mAh battery.
The Huawei P40 Series will not support Google apps as well as play store although they are based on the AOSP version of Android 10. It is due to the ban on US Suppliers on Huawei. However, these devices will have a Huawei Mobile Service(HMS Core) and App Gallery application store developed by Google.
